Advantages of wet dust collector in the industry

2021-06-25 admin Read 311

         The manufacturing cost of wet dust collector is relatively low. But it is an ideal dust removal method for dust with moisture, stickiness and pungent odor generated in the chemical industry, spray paint, glaze spray, paint and other industries. Because it can not only remove dust, but also use water to remove a part of the peculiar smell, if it is a harmful gas (such as a small amount of sulfur dioxide, hydrochloric acid mist, etc.), an absorbent can be prepared in the washing liquid for absorption.
      shortcoming:
      1. If there is washing sludge, it is necessary to solve the problem of sludge and sewage;
      2. The equipment needs to choose corrosion-resistant materials;
      3. Large power consumption;
      4. Anti-freezing of equipment should be considered in northern or cold regions.
      There are many types of wet dust collectors used in engineering. In general, it can be divided into low-energy and high-energy categories. The pressure loss of the low-energy wet dust collector is 0.2-1.5kPa, including spray towers and cyclone scrubbers, and the water consumption (liquid-gas ratio) under general operating conditions is 0.5-3.0 liters per cubic meter. The purification efficiency can reach 90%-95%, the pressure loss of the high-energy wet dust collector is 2.5-9.0kPa, and the purification efficiency can reach more than 99.5%, such as venturi scrubbers.
       The wet dust collector can effectively remove liquid or solid particles with a diameter of 0.1-20 microns from the airflow, and at the same time, it can also remove some gaseous pollutants. It has the advantages of simple structure, small footprint, convenient operation and maintenance, and high purification efficiency. It can handle high-temperature and high-humidity airflow and reduce the possibility of fire and explosion. However, when using wet dust collectors, special attention should be paid to the corrosion of equipment and pipelines, and the treatment of sewage and sludge. The wet dust removal process is also not conducive to the recovery of by-products. If the equipment is installed indoors, it must also be considered that the equipment may freeze in winter.
